PNS put on a much improved performance in the first ever floodlit game held at Chestnut Avenue, when being extremely unfortunate not to overcome neighbours Thrapston Town.
Luke Hill & Odie Wasson came into the PNS backline and were part of a highly effective unit that was largely untroubled by the visitors throughout, with Wasson's central defensive partner 16-year old Michael Almen very impressive
James Jackson added some steel and organisation to the middle of the park and Thomas O'Neill provided some penetration on the right wing.
Chances were few and far between in the opening exchanges and PNS were over hitting their through balls with a stiff breeze at their backs. The home side slowly took control and Moreman, Ginty & Almen all went close in the closing moments of the 1st half.
The 2nd half was the Thrapston goalkeeper versus PNS really and the visiting stopper pulled off save after save from a variety of PNS players. Substitute Chris Savage missed a one-on-one opportunity in the closing minutes before Lewis McManus went around the keeper only to see his shot cleared off the line in the final goalmouth action.
Despite their inability to find the back of the net, PNS should take great heart from the performance and the earning of their first point, though with the sensible cancellation of the Bank Holiday fixture at Rothwell, PNS now have a 3-week break before their next fixture.
