The club moved from the Crowland Road ground in the late 1960's to Lindisfarne Road before moving to its present home of Chestnut Avenue. Northern Star had up until entering the UCL, been associated with the Peterborough League for 57 years with the reserve side competing in the same league for 39 years. The first team gained promotion through the league, entering the Premier Divisionin the 1973/74 season where they remained until gaining entry to the UCL in 2003.

In 2000/01 as Eye Unbited, the club set a new league record when they won all 30 of its league games under the management of Roger Daniels and Vince Elliott.
